Fading, the February exhibition @ Nitroglobus gallery

This Saturday, 3rd February, is the opening party for 'Fading' by Cold Frog a new exhibition at Nitroglobus.

The pictures exhibited @ Nitroglobus are works Cold made some time ago, because nowadays her health doesn't allow her to make new ones, as her RL sight is fading away.

This exhibition is something of a retrospective of Cold's past work, as well as a tribute to her creativity, and moreover, to her in general for the cool and crazy avi she created.
Most photos exhibited are autobiographical and all deal in a way with suicide and death, not strange because Cold's theme in life is 'the unbearable darkness of being'. However, there is lots of humor too in her work, so don't be afraid to get too depressed.

Music makes Cold going on. For the opening party of 'Fading' on Saturday 3 February (starting at 12 pm SLT (= 21 hrs Amsterdam time), she sent an extensive list of her fav songs to DJ Ferdy, who will tune this evening

For indepth information about the artist and the exhibition 'Fading' I recommend to read the interesting article in 'Living in a Modem World' written by famous (art) blogger Inara Pey.

Opening Party for Cold Frog's exhibition 'Wish You a Cold Xmess' - 21 December 2014

the artist at her party

I made collages of the overload of snapshots of visitors at the Opening Party for Cold Frog's exhibition 'Wish You a Cold Xmess' last 21 December at Nitroglobus gallery. The dresscode of the party was 'angelic' sooo there were a lot of awesome angels around.
A late but sincere thank you to all who visited, and to DJ Ferdy for the wonderful sets.

Ferdy and Cold worked together on the choice of music, as Cold knows a lot of music and had 'special wishes'. The collaboration between the two was above expectations, resulting in great music.

The exhibition 'Wish You a Cold Xmess' by Cold Frog will be on our walls during the month of January, sooo when you couldn't visit the party no problem there's still time enough to see Cold's awesome photos on our walls.

'Wish you a Cold Xmess'

poster made by Cold Frog

NEW exhibition at Nitroglobus gallery called 'Wish you a Cold Xmess' by the artist Cold Frog.
Soo proud to have her at our gallery again.

This time with a theme that's rather heavy but soooo beautiful and right from her heart.
Death and suicide are major topics in this present exhibition, although Cold added some 'Xmess ones' too to make it less heavy.
However, the burden of life in general is for Cold a major topic in RL so she is true to herself and expresses her feelings. Her SL artwork shows the real Cold.
Her motto 'the Unbearable Darkness of Being'

Humor is very important to her too and you can find that element in her work as well as in the avatars she chooses to wear.

Nitro made truly awesome mesh sculptures for this exhibition; rendeer, moving angel children and more.
Worthwhile visiting for sure!
