Vows on the edge of 2010

Last night at 21.00 GMT was the moment for Cat and Petrov; their SL marriage. I was invited and after major SL trouble in which I appeared as a noob on my laptop screen 30 minutes before the ceremony started... arghhhhh, I managed to be at the venue just in time wearing all parts of my fancy Gingko LeeZu dress. I immediately took out my camera  and started taking pictures. I had too little time to adjust the light settings but pff at least all people present had rezzed.

Of course there was the ubiquitous lag, but hey who cares as long as the atmosphere is ok, which it was. 

Cat is a beautiful bride in her lovely Son!a Luxury Fashion dress. I loved the lace bodice, so nicely made. Notice the bridal bouquet of white and pink roses: the work of Cerberus of G*Field, she makes the best roses in SL!

Petrov is wearing the awesome suit and shoes of Redgrave. Doesn't he look handsome after his remake? 

Andy accompanied me to the wedding. He looks smashing in his suit, which he was able to find somewhere tucked away in his 3,5 (or is it 4?) years old closet. Although finding appropriate shoes was even more difficult as they were all still boxed. 

Walking together in SL ain't always easy.....

As Andy said: "This had all the trappings of a real world wedding and more.....like the lag effect that propelled the groom down the aisle ahead of his bride....and then left him stumbling over the flower decorations".

Happy holidays

After returning from my super RL birthday trip to Lisbon and Barcelona I logged into SL and have been soo busy with downloading new viewers, hunting/unpacking Xmas gifts and many more useless things. Yeah sooo many Xmas and hunt gifts .... //me sighs. Some are really awesome, some are crap but hey they're gifts right.


And then there are the many SL holiday greeting cards from friends I received, (hugs, thx so much!), buy presents, pack them and make a holiday greeting myself. Well here it is, I posted it last nite: snowqueen Dido (wearing part of LaVie Advent Calender gift #15)

Fishy Christmas gift

Yesterday evening I fetched the Christmas gift of Fishy Strawberry; a super cute babydoll in bright red, which comes with a fur shawl. I love it and combined it with the Joanna highwaist short of R.icielli which I bought this week in the 'Red clothes Sales' (indicated red items priced L$ 20).
Furthermore wearing red Naive Vixie socks, red Enkythings high heels, red diamond Callie Cline ring and *W*red gloves all from my wardrobe.

Pig Sale and D!va Celebration hair Chisato

Pig is moving to another sim (Lloyd) in the nearby future, coz their present location is being sold. Therefore some items at Pig are being permanently retired and prized down to only 25 L$ (fatpacks 99 to 150 L$)! Furthermore anything black and grey is 50 L$. So hurry over there!
I could not resist to buy the fatpack (150 L$) of my fav cardigan 'Ladies like flowers' (wearing in mud here).

Spencer Museum of Art

Yep Smiling and me we went exploring and here's the result. Another awesome place constructed by Cutea Benelli and Blotto Epsilon is no doubt worthwhile a visit. So for all those who did not yet discover: go and be enchanted. 

On the Museum's Second Life island this organic architecture was constructed by a team of the Spencer Museum of Art, part of the Kansas university. Visit their website for more info about the Petrovsky flux: a cluster of devices that grow, assembling themselves from modular units, only to blow apart and rebuild themselves. Sooo take care of your head coz there are constantly parts of the flux falling down. 

Each time they rebuild differently so the place is constantly changing. There is much to explore here! Smiling and me we had fun watching the flying sheep, sitting on the pink moving chair, jumping on the many scattered poses and sipping our wine in the little cafe. And... there is much more to discover.

Tears of a Clown

Today was a weirdo day for me. My RL best friend is sick, very sick and that influenced my SL a lot of course.
So no words but pics; i.e. the results of a hunt I did to put my mind on something totally utterly completely different: the Bad Juju Happy Birthday Hunt 

There are 17 Birthday packages (blue) hidden throughout the first floor of the store! The prize is a special Birthday clown outfit! Well what you see in the picture is the result of the hunt ;-)

Comfy red

Yesterday, the new comfy NS red sweater Matt was wearing, got me into an early Christmas mood ... I put on my red Reindeer sweater and we snuggled in a boat surrounded by falling snow. Felt like December.

Matt had been shopping coz next to the sweater and the Aoharu scarf he also bought new hair from UncleWeb. Wow I like his hair, cool look! Before buying he acquired many (over 10) hairdemo's and liked them all. I bet he will return to UncleWeb...

Dancing at Key West

Last night we went dancing at Key West. So much fun. Most avi's present were already in cool halloween outfits. Matt and me we loved it. 
My fav place since SL ages: always great music, great DJ's, kind people and... nice conversation. Thanks Liz you make this place rock!

I met Mysti when I was Halloween hair hunting. We talked and became friends, she took me to her fav hair/skin shop, DrLife and invited me to her home. I asked her if I could do a blog item on her because she has such a cute avi. 

Yesterday I visited her at her home in the sky, above the house of her SL parents, whom she knows now for 2 years. Two years is a long time in SL, Mysti puts it down to the fact that her SL Mum is always around when she needs help and that she has been a support right from the beginning.

I liked her home immediately, it's lovely and so nicely decorated. Mysti told me she spends a lot of time there. When I asked her why a child avi she said  'that's a long story, do you have enough time?' I told her I had, so she told me the whole story.

Afterwards we went dancing and had great fun. She is a nice person and don't let her avi misguid you she is a bright intelligent woman!
