Interview with Anja by Frank Atisso in magazine 360 Gradi Magazine

image from 360 Gradi Magazine by Jarla Capalini

Yesterday, 17th June, the May-June edition of 360 Gradi Magazine was published and I am super glad with the interview, written by Frank Atisso, about 'Anja's Surrealism' the June exhibition @ Nitroglobus gallery, which is part of this issue of the magazine.

'Frank : How have the experiences from your RL reflected in the work you are exhibiting here?

Anja : The things happening around you in real life have a huge impact on your thoughts and imagination. So eventually it does tend to affect the art that you create. For example, in the past few months, we had a lot of negative political issues where I live. So that is the time when I created the image of a chess board with stairs and chess pieces as a reactionary statement to it. Eventually all the pieces leave the board and come back to have the game start over again. All we are left with is our thoughts and the lives that need to go on.................'

Jump to pages 128 - 149 to read the whole article and admire the cool images made by Jarla Capalini.
My thanks goes to Frank and Oema (the editor/owner of the magazine)!

Amrum

Visiting the lovely deserted beaches of Amrum last week. The Landmark information tells us this is a sympathetic, charming, cosy and photogenic island, with many hideaways, time for feelings, dancing, time for two, waves, lonely beaches, horse riding, meeting with friends... and more
In short a romantic beach. Owner is Sunrise Avalanche.

There are two main buildings and lot of places near the sea to relax.
Enjoy

White Binemust

Binemust by Bine Rodenberger

The Estate Binemust is owned and developed by BinΓ© Rodenberger. It is open for all who have payment information on file and are age 18 or older. The SIM Binemust opened in the summer of 2016, and it is the home of BinΓ© Rodenberger and her friends.
I have visted Binemust several times before and also wrote blogposts about it. It's an enchanting spot to visit over and over again.

Today I walked around and enjoyed the winter atmosphere and the great quality of the textures used. When you didn't have enough of RL winter yet and want to enjoy snowy landscapes well here's the place to be.
Of course I couldn't resist to make a few images.
Taxi to White Binemust.

Ruegen

Ruegen is a homestead region designed by Andre Nalin (ReizWolf), who mentions it's an attempt to depict the landscape of the beautiful Baltic Sea island Ruegen in Second Life. Well, in my opinion he succeeded very well.

From RL friends who visited the RL Ruegen last year I learned it's a very nice place with great beaches and the famous Ruegen Rapsol. My friends brought me some of the Ruegen Rapsol, which I used in a cool vegetarian cauliflower recipe from Ottolenghi.

Furthermore the RL Ruegen houses the 'colossus of Prora', which is the largest hotel in the world, built just before the Second WW started by Hitler and never finished. Prora consists of 4.5 kilometer long ugly concrete appartments which were designated for 'smiling aryan people to relax and have fun, after hard work'. The buildings never housed any guests and Germany isn't happy with this heritage at all.

In Andre's profile I found this cool poem 'Heimweh nach Ruegen' by Ernst Moritz Arndt (1842):

Time Remains

Today I visited Time Remains, a place which is divided into 3 islands, to travel through time (past, present and future) along a beach side woodland. A passion project of Aura (akiko.tripsa) created  for photographers, artists, explorers, friends and bloggers to enjoy.

There are lots of abandoned spots around with animated seats for singles and couples to enjoy. A paved path surrounded by trees winds its way over the sim. Great place to wander around and make lots of images, which I did.

Ghosts of Jericho at the Sim Quarterly

Open now and worth a visit for sure. Love it. Ghosts of Jericho at the Sim Quarterly, Electric (Ele) Monday's homestead sim. Very photogenetic and well made. Great mood.

Ghosts of Jericho is a scenic installation designed, curated, and posed by Elizabeth Nantes, with an original soundscape concept and experience by Electric Monday.

                         ----GHOSTS OF JERICHO------
The Ferry leaves the dock and heads to Jericho. As you explore this curiously eerie, desolate but beautiful island, you may discover some items left behind. If you listen carefully as you wander you may "meet" some of the Ghosts of Jericho...
Well I found some: several pair of shoes.
Wander and Enjoy!

Zero - Sun Beach

Zero, Sun Beach: not much info to be found about this foggy place in the middle of the ocean, which consists of 3 islands and 2 deserted houses. There are nice cozy places to sit among the weathered wooden ramps and ditto empty houses. The place is owned by Rwah (crankygit), his group 'One step beyond sanity'  mentions it's hard to lose your sanity, as they did.
Well it's worth visiting .... and btw I didn't lose my mind πŸ˜‰

Thanks Miu for posing

the smallest island has no house only a few chairs

Resonant Dreams by Yadleen @ the Sunday Cafe

Proudly announcing Yadleen @ the Sunday Cafe of Nitroglobus Roof Gallery.
When : Sunday 11 December
Time  : 21 hrs Amsterdam time (=12 pm SLT)

Theme: 'Resonant Dreams' (text by Yadleen)

Everyone has dreams. Dreams are combined with feelings and emotions. I transfer my dreams into music. If you listen - you may get in resonance with my feelings. Our thoughts will get in resonance. Maybe we even have the same dreams. Sometimes we can feel it physically too. If it happens it's beyond words. "If all words have been spoken, only music remains."

Tattoo by Tamdig

Tattoo by Tamdig

My friend Tamdig started making tattoos for mesh bodies, among them Maitreya Lara. And guess what his first tattoo is called Dido. I am honored.
I tested for him and made the images. The Dido tattoo comes in henna (Traditional) as well as in black. It has a HUD that lets you choose the intensity of the tattoo as well as upper, lower part, AND yes yes....  the hands too (so cool)

Dido tattoo is available at the moment for classic, Maitreya and Belleza mesh bodies on marketplace.

Moreover, when you like to have a custom tattoo, that's possible: contact Tamdig inworld.

Here's where you can find Tattoo for Tamdig on SL Marketplace

Visiting LEA10, CyberPolis: The Oracle' by Asmita Duranjaya

Another Tale of CyberPolis: The Oracle at LEA10 presented by Asmita Duranjaya, will continue the story of researcher Lisa Sheldrake to find the secrets of the urban planetary system CyberPolis.
This time anthropologist will discover an old oracle. Her story will guide the visitors through a maze and help them to communicate with an alien species and at last with the oracle itself. The game and the story are embedded in a colorful immersive fractal landscape.
