the May 2021 exhibition @ Nitroglobus  

When I asked Diconay (Dico) beginning of April if she and Good Cross were able and willing to exhibit in May (instead of later in the year as we initially agreed), to fill the slot which had suddenly become available, I was so happy she said yes! However, Good Cross, Dico's SL partner was too busy RL, so Dico took it upon her to do the exhibition alone ... AND what a wonderful display it has become of sensual, high quality works in monochrome and color with a theme that will appeal to many: tattoos in SL.

I sincerely hope Dico and Good Cross will return to Nitroglobus in the future with a shared exhibition; giving us something to look forward to.

A B O U T  'W H I T E  C A N V A S':

Tattoos are jewelry for the skin.

People get them for many reasons: for attention, self-expression, artistic freedom, rebellion, a visual display of a personal narrative, reminders of spiritual/cultural traditions, sexual motivation, addiction, identification with a group or even drunken impulsiveness. Our current society craves individuality and self expression. And now many people wear their artistic expression.

Tattoos are especially interesting in the virtual world because of its lack of permanence on a virtual mesh body. But someone talented in the digital arts can really make it look surreal and beautiful.

To me tattoos represent creativity, sensuality and this is what I have hoped to achieve in this study. This exhibit is a study of second life tattoos and my interpretation of the work of some tattoo artists in SL.

This is the reason I call this exhibit a White Canvas, representing the bare skin on which will be imprinted memories, emotions and art.

I hope you take some joy from it.

Expected very soon: the October exhibition @ Nitroglobus

This exhibition, which will be in place by Saturday 19 October, deals with current topics in the fast changing world we live in today.
Really proud and happy to present 'A Beautiful Collapse' by Nevereux & 'CRISP' by Kaiju (Kai) Kohime at Nitroglobus.

'A Beautiful Collapse' is about societal unraveling and the sharp decline of our general values. It provides a series of polaroids meant for a supreme entity to understand humankind and what led us to extinction. It’s helplessness and hopelessness coming together.

'CRISP' is about a Chinese scientist who took CRISP science a bit further and crossed more a few lines.
In the three months since he announced the birth of twin girls with edited genomes, the questions facing the scientific community have grown knottier.
By engineering mutations into human embryos, which were then used to produce babies, He leaped capriciously into an era in which science could rewrite the gene pool of future generations, by altering the human germ line.

Opening party for the exhibition will be on Monday 21 October, starting at 12 pm SLT (= 21 hrs Amsterdam time).

Everyone has dreams. Dreams are combined with feelings and emotions. I transfer my dreams into music. If you listen - you may get in resonance with my feelings. Our thoughts will get in resonance. Maybe we even have the same dreams. Sometimes we can feel it physically too. If it happens it's beyond words. "If all words have been spoken, only music remains."

Opening party for MM's 'All_Most Real' exhibition @ Nitroglobus Hall

Sunday, 3 July 2016 there was a great party at Nitroglobus Hall, we were celebrating the opening of the exhibition 'All_Most Real' of MM (mysterr).

And what a party it was!

Great music by DJ Ferdy, a great mood and a dazzling crowd, looking all superb in the dresscode for this evening 'black and/or white' outfit.

All enjoyed muchly.

Thanks to all who visited, to MM for her trust and to Ferdy for the music.
