Opening party @ Nitroglobus for Maloe Vansant

Last evening (Wednesday 27 November, European time) I organized an Opening party for Maloe Vansant. Her exhibition 'The Moon lives in the Lining of your Skin' will be decorating the walls of Nitroglobus gallery for the coming weeks.

Many people visited the party yesterday evening to admire Maloe's photos and to dance on the cool music of DJ Sin.
It was a great party. Thanks to all who visited! To those who couldn't tp in my sincere apologies. Do visit the coming weeks.

Just noticed that famous art reviewer Inara Pey wrote an article in her blog 'Living in a Modem World' about Maloe's exhibition at Nitroglobus entitled 'Art in reflection of Self and Poetry in Second Life'.
As always Inara made a great analysis of the exhibition. It's worthwhile reading!
Thanks sooo much Inara 💓

My exploring friend Ed Rhode, who also visited the party made this cool overview snapshot:

Many visitors made great pics. This one by Absentia Indaco is a really cool one, which I like to share here. See all pics she made in her FB album of the event.

The Moon lives in the Lining of your Skin by Maloe Vansant at Nitroglobus

NEW, the November/December 2019 exhibition at Nitroglobus Roof gallery.

The title of the exhibition, 'The moon lives in the lining of your skin', which actually is the last line of the poem 'Ode to a beautiful Nude', by Pablo Neruda is a metaphor.

Neruda refers to the glowing skin of the woman by comparing its brightness to the moon - her skin is so beautiful and perfect that it emanates a bright light, in the same way the moon glows in the dark.

Maloe shows us HER interpretation of a 'perfect glowing skin', representing her feelings and desires; the mirror of her soul.

The Opening party will be on Wednesday, 27 November at 12.00 pm SLT (= 21 hrs Amsterdam time)
Music by DJ Sin

However, the exhibition is already in place and you can come and enjoy Maloe's images.

Postcards from the Subconscious @ Nitroglobus Hall; the May-June 2016 exhibition

'Postcards from the Subconscious' by Maloe Vansant & Burk Bode, the May-June 2016 exhibition @ Nitroglobus Hall.

I am super happy and proud to present to you 'Postcards from the Subconscious' by Maloe and Burk, a famous talented couple in the SL art scene, are back at Nitroglobus with work that can only be made by them; their style, their constant quest in exploring their dark side.

'Postcards from the Subconscious' explained by the artists themselves:

This exhibition is like a child. It was planned friendly and glamorous. But as always our unconsciousness send us postcards. Feelings like bubbles coming up that told us we had to make just this picture and no other.

So at the end our child is not what we planned it to be. It became somebody dark and nasty. Looking at us like a misbehaving child and telling us: 'I don't like you'. Astonished we answer: 'but we love you and we made you!?!'

Our child turned out to be somebody else: dark, coz it emerged from the dark sides of our souls. Sticking out its tongue and smiling at us boldly. But we still love it ...

Party time at Nitroglobus

A lottttt of snapshots, which I made during the opening party last Wednesday 11th December at Nitroglobus for Mr. & Mrs B. (Burk Bode & Maloe Vansant)'s exhibition 'Tunnel of Light', an installation made by Burk with photography of Maloe his partner.

The text below I copied from the awesome blog post of Ziki (link to her blog post) coz I couldn't describe better:

It's exceptional not only because of the excellent artistic work of Burk and Maloe, but also and especially because of the installation design. Rather than having their two-dimensional works hung on the walls in a traditional gallery setting, the artists have used projectors to literally shine the works on the bending and curving walls and floors of the space, transforming the experience into one where the gallery itself is the artwork, as are visitors if they wander into the path of the light. This "Tunnel of Light" was originally conceived by Burk, and you can purchase at the landing point a smaller 40m x 40m version for your personal enjoyment (price L$ 1.000).

In case you missed the opening party no worries; Burk's Tunnel of Light will be at Nitroglobus gallery for the rest of the month of December. Here's your taxi to our gallery
I'm sure you will have a great time wandering around!

The party's over now

Paola Mills

Yesterday, Thursday 4th April we celebrated the opening party of the exhibition 'Two Souls Meeting' by Paola Mills and Maloe Vansant, two very creative persons who make awesome photos in Second Life.

It was a nice party, DJ Lex played great tunes and many attended and enjoyed. Well known faces but also new ones.
Here are a few of the (too) many photos I made to give you an impression. I start with my paparazzo shots of the two artists in front of their art.

Wish you all a super weekend!
