Hunt and gift girl

Today I felt like blogging again. I have been playing (hot) games these last few days and had lots of fun/excitement. My invent is a mesh, too many stuff that waits to be filed: Maitreya sale, hunts, gifts etc ... blergh. Means work and I want to play, so I looked the other way and postponed.

On the other hand I made a lot of new friends, among them a few 'hunters' who tp-ed me around the sim. So, I found a cute shirt which I collected at A-BOMB as their Zombie popcorn gift. I combined it with a really cool legging (only 20 L$!!) of Intrigue Co., another shop that participates in the Zombie popcorn hunt. Wearing the anniversary gift red sandals of Stiletto Moody and stuff from my invent. Ah and also the MINA Puk Zombie popcornhunt hair. Wow I love this look.

World's End Garden

I should have known, coz lately when Smiling sends me a tp I end up with my feet into the water....
This time it was World's End Garden: a simply beautiful place to linger, explore, take pictures, be romantic and get to know eachother better, sit down relax, contemplate ....

I am not that much into poetry but this place inspired me and I will share my fav English poem with you:

Third World

Smiling tp-ed me to this awesome place: Third World. He said 'please take a seat and enjoy your coffee, I just arrived, my plane crashed'. We sat at a small wooden table and behind me I saw the remains of his plane in the water. 
So many hidden away spots on this awesome sim created by Korto Stransky.

I searched for a notecard to find out about the story behind this sim, but nope nothing to be found. Looking around I found a text in the water that explained the title and gave some insight into the maker of this sim. It said:


There should be somewhere on earth a place no nation can claim as its property, a place where all human beings of goodwill, sincere in their aspiration, could live freely as citizens of the world....


Later I also found a lovely spot with two sort of rocking chairs, a cute doggy, a box of cigars and also pictures of the RL person behind the avi Korto with his RL dog (sympathetic looking guy btw).

I found some interesting quotes in Korto's profile, which I really liked and made me smile. Let me quote one:

the Kubrick Rooms

The Kubrick rooms, created by Rumpledink Robbiani, are the SL homage to the late great Stanley Kubrick and his movies. From the hall (I loved the carpet btw) you enter the experience via door 237. It's fun and so nicely made. You recognise scenes from the movies. 

This is not a new spot my friend Smiling told me. He was the one that tp-ed me to the Kubrick Rooms, but unfortunately he had to leave in a hurry. Pitty coz he would have fitted brillantly into the surroundings being all grey ;-)


I explored later in the evening with my friend Dave, who changed his clothes to fit into the environment, dressed cool in black and white.

The outfit I wear is called the Korova Milk Bar Droog getup, includes the hat. This Droog outfit can be collected at the Kubrick Rooms for free. 

Although there are not many pose balls around I did enjoy the sim coz it is so nicely made and detailed. And in case you are bored with SL you can sit down in the cinema and watch a Kubrick movie. Have fun exploring!

Now Dave is a guy who values nice clothes in SL. One of the few men in SL that do I guess. I love his outfits AND besides that he creates clothes himself now and then for fun, like for example the grey jumper. No they are not for sale ;-(

Wearing Cynful July dollarbie (grab it while you can) which I truly like except for the top which is rather simple compared to the detailed texture of the pants and corset. 

The blond hair is Chiharu the 5000 membership gift of D!va. Maybe I am too picky but for an over 5xxx membership gift I had expected something more well... flex. But it's a gift so I shouldn't complain.

Wearing League Taylor medium blond feline demo skin just to get a feel of it how it fits in with the blond me. But yeah like it a lot.

Truth Rylan

It's been a while but today I bought new Truth hair. Awesome isn't it: called Rylan. My pack contained 4 colours dark brown hair with and without streaks.

You get value for your money coz lol it's a LOT of flex hair. The hair contains a built in menu, which allows you to change the colour of the streak. Many colours available in the menu ;-)
My favourite is darkbrown Java red streaked.

G*Field

 I know Cerberus Noel the designer/owner of *G*Field. We met long ago at the house of Akelei, a mutual friend. By then her roses were already famous. I bought several shoes and booties, as well as an awesome black lace cocktail dress.

G*Field store did well the past years and nowadays Cerberus her shoes, boots and clothes are well known and appreciated by a huge audience. G*Field style is feminine, Japanese but not too sweet and girlie. The quality is very good.

I personally am a fan of her boots and shoes. Especially the short lace-up (I bought green ones yesterday) and the western boots. But also the lovely slingbacks awww they fit super and are so nicely made. I like the colours.

Oh and not to forget her generous gifts for her update group! Lately there were an off-shoulder Shiffon top, the short laced-up boots in lavender, the floral halter top in wine... and her latest gift, which you can find at the new G*Field store at Icon Lifestyle: the floral halter top in olive.

Enchanting China Tang Empire

 Today Smiling and me we visited China Tang Empire. What a divine place owned by Valor Renilo. 

The Tang Dynasty (June 18, 618–June 4, 907) was an era of unprecedented progress in art and technology - the Golden Age of Chinese culture and economic development. On the sim you can take a walk through the corridors of time, and immerse yourselves in the divine beauty of Tang.

When you enter the front gate, you face the Tang palace. On your right lies the zen garden and a stone pagoda. On the left a temple. At the plaza in front of the main palace there are taichi and kungfu balls. There is also a love island at the corner of the sim.

In addition, there are 3 levels of underground to explore. There is an exhibition of treasures in the cellar. Certainly worthwhile a visit. I hope my pictures give you an indication of the beauty. Although they cannot let you hear the nice music.

Sit on the throne and feel like the last emperor, meditate, play martial arts, or wander through the lovely gardens. So many nice things to do and see. Smiling told me they organize concerts too.

The Plastik fantastic

I did it I bought one. Hey only one! Argh I wanted to buy several, so many nice colours, but for now I stick to this one; the Ambrice dress in Aztec sun and sparkle gold. 

All 50 Ambrice dresses come in two colours and many many layers. I show you mine: Aztec sun and sparkle gold. 
Yes Aikea Reiko did it again and made another awesome dress! Yep Plastik definitely is one of my fav shops in SL.

MINA's hair

A girl cannot have enough hair...

I am totally in love with my MINA Jean black hair. 
Jean is shoulder-length hair with razored layers that taper into flared edges. It comes with and without a headband. I prefer the headband version. It falls naturally around my face, looks feminin but not barbie-like.

I visited MINA her shop this weekend and met the designer Mina Makamura, who btw is Dutch like me. So many fantastic Dutch designers here in SL, makes me feel chauvinistic.

Anyway I decided to dedicate a blog on MINA hair. I am a picky customer I know, I have too many hairs in my invent already. Talking about that;  I need to restructure my hair folder too ... meaning hours of hard work, sighs!
 
I like the Suzan hair: a fuzzy updo hairstyle as Mina calls it. Wow now that's more my style: a bit wild and messhy - love it! So I decided to buy Suzan. After all a girl cannot have enough hair ;-)

Pulse skin Isabella: a Passion to Remember...

Awww I cannot decide which one of the new Isabella skins of Pulse I should buy. Yeah yeah I know I have many skins already and some of you readers like me most in a particular one ;-)

BUT.... i love this new Pulse character skin called Isabella and you know what I don't wanna look like a sweet girl. So please help me: which one Passion or Remember???
