Today I received a bloggers package and .... well look at me isn't this breathtaking and beautiful, awww I love it; the Finesmith Disturbia collection-veil. Wow!

Some background info about the store and jewelry shown:

Yesterday evening I had an appointment with my friend Michiel to talk about the exhibition in which he is taking part with 4 of his works. Wow this exhibition space was not the regular dull building, but an open space with lots of flowers and grass.  

Let me start with introducing Michiel Bechir: he is Dutch like me and one of the few SL friends I have known for ages. We both love travelling a lot in RL as well as in SL. He sends me LM's to awesome places and sometimes we go exploring together.
He is also one of the few SL friends with whom I share RL info. For instance last year he informed me about a super nice villa with a private pool on the Greek isle of Cephalonia in which he had stayed in spring. I went there in autumn and had a lovely holiday at this truly awesome villa and ditto island.  

Michiel explained his passion for taking pictures in SL and showing them to a broad audience:

'I try to capture exceptional and/or beautiful places in SL. Most of the time my pictures don't show people but landscapes and special constructions, but also surroundings that have unique characteristics. The new SL viewers have extensive possibilities to adjust the settings (i.e. sky & water) which I like to experiment with. I try to picture an SL place in a way I experience it, I seek the ultimate representation.  

The places I shoot are usually very quiet, that's why I have the idea not many people know about these unique places. With my pictures I hope in a modest way to give more publicity to these awesome sims, and inspire people to visit them.

I noticed the quality of the sims is getting better and better over the years, which inspires me to seek new worlds that are suitable to shoot.'

hO wEAr - outfits of the day

hO wEAr is certainly a group worthwhile joining! You daily receive info about their 'Outfit of the Day', which is available in store for only 25 L$!
I am getting into the Halloween mood and therefore liked to blog this hO wEAr outfit called 'Out of the Shadows2', existing of prim skirt, panties or pants, lots of sculpture parts for the armor and.. a scripted crystal spear. 


Btw today's (7 Oct) hO wEAr outfit is 'Halloween Harlequin'. Cute, arghhh I want this one toooooo

Mattia joined me. He created an outfit combining several freebies from his closet. Cool look! I think I will ask him more often to help me! The graveyard is a spooky place, dogs walking around, ghosts and beggars .... but hey it's almost halloween!

The Companion

Smiling took me to The Companion today and as usual I enjoyed it very much our exploring together! Wow what a sim, I loved the trees, the atmosphere and the many many surprising pose balls. Did put on my warm sweater after arriving as this is a winter sim with lots of snow. Well the sweater did not really help as I ended up into the ice cold water many times ;-)

You follow the story line and on the way there are so many surprises. Well I show you some pictures, but as always my advise: Go and Enjoy yourselves!

Here's the taxi to The Companion 

The Companion, a region based on a Norwegian folktale. Follow the story  of a young man trying to reach his dream. By clicking the red spheres (look carefully, they are hard to find sometimes) you get the story which will guide you further through the region.

There is no music streamed. But there are sounds to illustrate the story. 

Sim still under construction owned by Frigg Ragu and built with the help of Miskat Qinan and Soror Nishi.

Enchanting China Tang Empire

 Today Smiling and me we visited China Tang Empire. What a divine place owned by Valor Renilo. 

The Tang Dynasty (June 18, 618–June 4, 907) was an era of unprecedented progress in art and technology - the Golden Age of Chinese culture and economic development. On the sim you can take a walk through the corridors of time, and immerse yourselves in the divine beauty of Tang.

When you enter the front gate, you face the Tang palace. On your right lies the zen garden and a stone pagoda. On the left a temple. At the plaza in front of the main palace there are taichi and kungfu balls. There is also a love island at the corner of the sim.

In addition, there are 3 levels of underground to explore. There is an exhibition of treasures in the cellar. Certainly worthwhile a visit. I hope my pictures give you an indication of the beauty. Although they cannot let you hear the nice music.

Sit on the throne and feel like the last emperor, meditate, play martial arts, or wander through the lovely gardens. So many nice things to do and see. Smiling told me they organize concerts too.

The Plastik fantastic

I did it I bought one. Hey only one! Argh I wanted to buy several, so many nice colours, but for now I stick to this one; the Ambrice dress in Aztec sun and sparkle gold. 

All 50 Ambrice dresses come in two colours and many many layers. I show you mine: Aztec sun and sparkle gold. 
Yes Aikea Reiko did it again and made another awesome dress! Yep Plastik definitely is one of my fav shops in SL.

From under the dust ...

Pffff I have been spending hours and hours the past evenings on restructuring my inventory. Still not finished ... (me sighs). But, on the other hand it's fun to find stuff that's in there for ages, a little dusty maybe, but still looking good.

Like for instance the 'Last Call' clothes: I stumbled into an entire folder with outfits. Some of them still look so good and up-to-date. I decided to show you some of the stuff, sometimes in combinations with newer items.

Sorry, but the clothes are no longer available. However, they all are transfer/no copy items .... so you could try to obtain second hand stuff ;-). When Ginny Talamasca died Katterina Dagostino, her SL business partner/friend kept Last Call shop open till March 31st 2008, before starting a new shop with a new partner called Archange. I remember vividly that it was always loaded with avi's at Last Call shop coz all outfits were on sale for only 100 L$ or less.

A Plastik Courtisane

I love The Plastik mini dresses they are my favourite, easy to wear/combine, no fuzz adjusting and always super sexy and classy. I started my 'collection' months ago with a black and a gold boudoir dress, that I combined with my then favourite Milk Motion admiral jacket, but now ... omg I have so many Plastik dresses. My last acquisition is the red (Temptress) Courtesan dress as shown in the pics below.

Last evening I went out dancing in my new dress, combined it with my Aoharu leather jacket and red Courtisane Hors d'Haleine boots. Because I wanted really hot red lips I changed into the Exodi Sienna Nuit skin. Made me feel sexy this look and I was not the only one as I received compliments being told 'tonight you look so lovely'.

/me purs ..... hey I am a girl and love compliments ;-)

Steampunk

Yesterday evening my dear friend Michiel sent me an LM of a Steampunk sim LPP* SteamPunk & Cyber Doll

He said: 'Dido, you will like this place, can take nice pics there'. Soooo I went and this is the result ;-)

I tp-ed my friend Svenlo, who happened to be wearing a Steampunk captains outfit of Industrial Steampunk Megaplex. Awesome isn't he?

In the first 2 pictures I used AM Radio windlight, love the weirdo effect.

Sales at The Plastik and Magika

Wow what a classy outfit.

Inspired by the article Ner wrote in The SL Fashionista about Prelude I went there yesterday and could not resist to buy the Lundi suit she blogged. But what colour ... I bought the red outfit, although I loved the grey one too. I got some help from a stranger who asked if he could help me. He introduced himself as a designer-to-be, but did not wanna give me more info nor show me his work. Not finished yet he said and as he is a perfectionist ....  mmm patience Dido ^^

Next I rushed to The Plastik for the blue and white sales (L$ 99 for a lot of their clothes in these colours). Could not resist the grey Bordello dress and combined it with the Lundi jacket as shown in the picture. I finished the look with grey Bax boots (Le.Look Christmas gift) and a grey panty. 

Then to Magika for their L$10 sales where I bought a fatpack of my fav hair: Biji. Love that hair so much and now I have all colours for only L$ 50.

The picture was taken at Butterdish: what a beautiful place! I love how the colours of my outfit match with the surroundings. I am sure I will visit this place again.
